So will the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy be put up for grabs to go along with that minor World Cup trophy? #AUSvIND

in a historic moment in cricket history, the two most prestigious trophys in world cricket will be unified this sunday night
If Howard Finkel doesn't do the countdown I'll be disappointed. Also get JR in on commentary:

"BAH GAWD KING, HE'S HIT THAT INTO NEXT WEEK!"
"No nerves here at all for Faulkner. He's STONE COLD! STONE COLD! STONE COLD!"
"IT'S THE BIG SHOW! GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY KING, THE BIG SHOW IS HERE!"

TPC pushed his ODI batting average over 40 today (getting out might have pushed it below though). Crazy to think that it was around 25 during the Zimbabwe tour. TPC for life.

Whatever it takes!!!
Congrats to the Aussie team and all the Aussie supporters here at CW... Too good in these conditions for our boys.. AS someone said very early in the thread, it is just that our bowling is the kind the Aussies seem to be at ease against, the most... And our batting is woeful beyond the top 7. Aussies with their multiskill players are basically 15 Vs 11 for us... All the best to them for the finals. The two best teams have emerged to the finale :) That means a really good tournament, all said and done.

I was not here for the NZ game either so congrats to the black caps n all their supporters here at CW too.. Some of the best members of this forum are NZs and they deserve the good team they have right now for all their commitment and support... Hope it is a great final.

I would love to say I called it early in the thread that we will get smacked, and mainly with respect to our bowling. Our boys totally bottled the chase today once Dhawan was out to a reckless shot. Kohli seems to be batting with the weight of the world on his shoulders and one has to wonder if it was the right thing to ask him to alter his natural game based on his "role" in the batting line up. That kinda never works out when you are chasing targets. You gotta play it by the ear a lot more during run chases, IMO... Hard luck for the Indian boys but given our side and the form leading upto the WC, it was amazing that they played as well as they did and IMO, they emerge as the 3rd best side in this WC. I dunno about other Indian fans but I would have taken it at the start given how shaky we were going into the WC.

All the best, NZ and Australia.. HOpe for a cracking final.
