I think I was behind NZ before this game, but I will cry for AB if SA lose.
AB is awesome. Not only is he THE BEST ODI batsman going at the moment but he's also a top bloke. Ever listen to his after match comments etc? Just comes across as an all round good guy.

SA didn't just lose 7 overs. They lost 7 slog overs which they were conserving wickets for to go crazy and boost their total. Not adjusting the total upwards is unfair on teams batting first. They plan their whole innings thinking it's 50 overs and then suddenly its 43?!
OK at 6.5 an over they would have got 325 in 50.

Yeah this meanwhile NZ can pace their innings. The irony is the adjustment should have been greater not less.

Guppy please don't do anything stupid

the D/L system is crap. how about this SA got 43 overs 280. NZ gets 43 overs to get 280. Where the F*** they get 298 from ???
A bit naive. Up until the rain started their entire innings was based around maximising runs and wickets through 50 overs. Strategically it is a massive difference. If they knew beforehand it would only be 43 it would have changed quite a bit.

Im feeling optimistic.

B-Mac has been involved in two successful chases of 330 and 350 at Eden Park and Hamilton in 2007. He knows what it takes

The important thing for NZ to note here is we don't need to go ballistic. Yes, the target is big but we need to take a careful approach to the chase. Try and go at 5s to 6s and then whack the crap out of it at the end.

This is essentially a 350 chase. Unfortunately we don't have BMac down the order to finish off the innings like we did in 2007.
