You're making less sens with each post. If SA had 38 overs Faf would've tried to hit out far sooner, Sa's icing would've come in to bat sooner and AB would've started his carnage sooner. I have no idea what your point is.
I feel like you must not have watched this match if you don't understand what I'm saying.

Faf can't just hit out as soon as he comes in. He's not AB. Even AB can't hit out straight away against Boult moving it around corners.

Faf has played a brilliant innings to prevent SA from getting bowled out.

AB should keep going the way he is, everyone else just try to keep it at a run a ball without taking on high risk shots that could potentially get them out imo.

We guys (Indians) should be the last ones talking about getting fed up of someone praising a particular player beyond a limit, coz thats what we do.
Nah, this is a bogus argument. Living in a particular country with a lot more of the hero worship can make one all the more anti the hero worship.

Reduced overs in cricket is just really ****ing stupid. In baseball they will play until 4am if there rain or the game goes to extra innings.

So SA's total will get a boost from D/L right? How do they compensate for the lost momentum from those 7 overs.
Yes.

As a very loose example:

Say they came off after 38 SA had 25% of their resources remaining (Just a guess from 10 overs / 8 wickets in hand).

Now after coming out to bat again they only have 10% remaining.

They take that 15% lost and the average score in an ODI (~250) and so SA would be awarded an extra 37.5 runs or similar.

I hope SA realize that they don't have to all come out and hit out, keeping wickets in hands is important as it will adjust their total anyway. I say 50 off 5 or so with maybe 1 wicket down is reasonable.
No d/l doesn't take into account wickets lost after the interuption

oh and the most important thing, Faf NEEDS to make sure he gets a 100! That's above everything else.

Not sure the ICC had anything to do with the rain. Who won the toss and elected to bat? Look at the forecast perhaps
Except the problem is Sherlock, rain wasn't in the forecast that early according to what we have been hearing from the comms.
