He is a decent player, as with quite a few of the scots, he plays regular county cricket here so is no mug..Is Josh Davey any good or did he just hit the jackpot this WC?
Feel this guy probably doesn't have the skills to contain properly against good players under world cup pressure at this stage but his pace is something we need to look to harness as we build a team going forward
Yea he's too green to risk in a knockout.. he's consistently pushing 145k, I'd only take that kind of risk if he could do 150-155ks and was seriously quick. Our fielding is poor again from the little I have seen. Chameera bowling ok, as you say, he has the pace so Vaasy can work with the rest..
Yea just feel like he got pretty lucky to be the top wicket-taker in the WC so far. I'm sure he's a decent medium pacer. He is a decent player, as with quite a few of the scots, he plays regular county cricket here so is no mug..
I like that line up for Sydney..would be ideal if thisara was firing with the ball, not sure about kula but can't see any other bowler to replace with..Feel like Angelo is bowling Thisara and Chameera here and telling them to fight for one spot. The SL line-up for the knockouts should be:
Dilshan, Thiri, Sanga, Mahela, Angelo, Kusal, Thisara, Kula, Sena, Herath, Malinga
I would've had Ajantha over Sena if he had been in the squad based on Sena's average performances so far.
As useless as Thisara looks right now, I would back him to make 30 off 20 to win a match over Tharanga who honestly should be opening.. Thiri probably would be deadweight in the knockouts but is impossible to drop now based on a couple of his performances.. I think Tharanga would/could come good in the business end but there's no way he can replace Thiri as opener right now.Yep that line-up looks pretty good, alternatively, replace Thisara with Tharanga and rely on the 4 specialists + Dilshan and Matthews for the rest of the overs, gives us some batting depth against a dangerous attack and the bowling isn't really weakened
