Best of the comp is surely either South africa or india.

Dilshan/Sanga/Mahela plus an inform Thirimanne and Matthews is a pretty delicious 1-5

Forgot about dilshan, which I really shouldn't have because he has been really awesome lately, but even with those I wouldn't call them the best of the comp. Still good though.

people massively under rating SL's batting. Their batting is quite good and usually their fielding isn't shoddy either.

If Angelo can get his bowling changes figured out their bowling might improve slightly too. Although getting herath injured sets them back.

We beat India 4-0 with one tie - we lost some odis to South Africa (& Pakistan) but were missing some key players

Underestimate SL at your peril mate, especially in Sydney.

Yeah I don't really understand why you'd underestimate Sri Lanka, they are a really good tournament team who appear to know their capabilities and have a helluva lot more big game ODI experience then Australia. Look at our team, we have only 3 members of our team who have played 60 ODI's, while Sri Lanka have 9.

Their batting is pretty damn good. But without Herath their bowling looks pretty toothless regardless of the location. Yes Sri Lanka can win but we deserve to be favourites for this game IMO.

Malinga appears to be returning to form, Satchi is a pretty good replacement for Herath, and unless we go the 7 batsmen route we won't be short on options with Dilshan/Matthews/Thisara on top of 4 specialist bowlers, I think it's the fielding that really kills us tbh

funny how people keep raising SA's tonking of our understrength team coming off months of no cricket but conveniently forget the general gist of the current team beat SA in SA but with passengers like Franklin in the team and debutants like Mitch M.
