5th Match - Ireland v West Indies

I tell ya, I would have been going for them anyway but I am so going to be on Irelands wagon on the 10th March.

BB, apart from speaking absolute bollocks, you are setting yourself up for the biggest tasting in history here. India beating Ireland based on what I've seen from them this summer in Oz is be no means a certainty. Cricket has a funny habit of shutting large mouths.
A loss to Australia and a couple scrappy performances against England mean we aren't certain to beat Ireland? I think you are the one speaking nonsense mate, in our last 3 ICC events we have only lost 2 matches, one against South Africa and one against Sri Lanka. We won't lose to a minnow.

England may be vulnerable against Bangladesh as they are playing in Adelaide on a good pitch but again I hope the English are able to come through that one.

Minnows are like those hopeless auditions in the 1st round of X Factor, they give everyone a laugh but ultimately will never win the event or make a lasting impression and therefore render themselves pointless.

Look mate. There is no way I'd talk up England over Ireland right now as I'd rate them a bloody decent chance to roll us..........that same England didn't have much trouble taking India down twice in the tri series. You do the maths.

This has to to be the most brainlessly stupid thing I have read in at least 12 hours.

BB to provide us with some entertainment while we agonisingly wait for the next game to start.
On second thought, three of the four teams (including Bangladesh) playing in next two days are minnows. So imagine what BB must be going through in his agonising wait to watch two top teams in action.

Probably going to watch a few India-Sri Lanka reruns.

A freak result and also a very unfortunate one for the game, more often that not a minnow like Ireland would fall well short of such a target, a plucky effort from them.

West Indies now need to win one of the matches against a Test playing team, (Pakistan would be most likely) and order would be restored thankfully we don't have the 2007 where a minnow has one good day and get rewarded by an extra few weeks in the tournament where they take beating after beating and make a mockery of the tournament.
There is no way you are a real personality. You're a well written satire surely.

only 6 six times has 300+ been chased in world cups and Ireland owns 3 of those. #respect
There's actually only 5 I think: 3 from Ireland, England vs WI 2007 and SL vs Zim in 92. So 3/5 is incredible.

I'd expect a few more successful 300 chases this WC though.

Every cricket fan is an Irish fan.

Except Bleed Blue. **** him.
Nah unless you support Ireland in every game including against your no. 1 favourite team in all games including hypothetically the cup final. There are always lot of supporters of the underdog when they play against a team different from your own.

So we need some true Irish fans. Uppercut is one and I think there was briefly one other Irish fella here.
