No they don't! They have a few medium pacers and spinners that's it nothing more than journeyman county bowlers! Our strength is our batting but we are excellent at bowling in ODI not by blasting a side out but creating pressure and taking chances that way, it's what we did in the game v Pakistan earlier.
Our Flem is just a tad excitable, doubt he really meant that seriously.

Not Terrible
Ireland's bowling isn't even better than Bangladesh or Zimbabwe. Batting is definitely their strong suit.

In subcontinential conditions it could be hard for Ireland.

Hopefully one or more second-tier sides make the quarters to make the ICC look silly.
WCQ 2018 is currently scheduled to be in Bangladesh - which makes little sense ahead of the WC itself in England in 2019.

I don't think Ireland has a better ODI attack than India, but I do think you're overstating India's bowling by a large margin tbh. They bowled well against a pretty moderate Pakistan side last night, but they were well beaten up by Australia and England in the recent tri series here. Their batting will almost always keep India in games, but IMO they'll give up 300-320 against other top 5 or 6 sides more often than not in these conditions

The thing is, the Irish bowl with discipline and are dogged. That's better than quite a few international teams.

Huh, 5 matches in to the WC and the only two ones that have played like a contest have been the ones featuring minnows. Ok, maybe 14 teams is too many, but cutting the whole thing back to 10 is overkill. 12 strikes a nice balance, and addresses many of the current concerns about the length of the group stage and the ubiquity of boring mismatches (at least between established and minnow countries).
