Because I'm Fognini in disguise, you white **** #notserious

Although I wasn't kiddng about doubles matches being more fun. So far the players I've rooted for in the finals have lost (Sharapova, Mahut/Herbert). Who should I root for tomorrow?

**** that was a great second set. High quality tennis.
I presume you were talking about the Ladie's final, not the doubles.

If so I agree, Maria really stayed in it despite 15 aces for Serena. Her first two service points in the tie-break were disappointing though, otherwise she was pretty clutch, particularly saving that first championship point.

More encouraged than normal after one of her Serena beat-downs.

Funny really at the start of their contests I was on Serena's side, I'm trying to wonder when it changed, probably just the love of the underdog, even though I'll admit Sharapova not exactly a great sob-story for the ages.

Yeah clearly that match. Was terrific second set.

Serena was ****ing intense near the end. Primal roar after key points. Just refused to lose to Sharapova. So much tension between the two.

Serena being docked a point for verbal interference like vs. US Open vs. Sam Stosur. She took the penalty here a little bit better, lol

Best bit was Serena telling everyone they should be inspired by her in her victory speech.

Well. I didn't watch the doubles, so it may have been an epic set, for all I knew.

Yes the intensity was frightening and neither backed down.

serena is nadal to sharapova's federer as far as their head-to-head goes...huge psychological advantage for serena before they even step on the court...

Forgot how partisan the tennis coverage here is when Murray is playing. At least when it's a Djokovic-Federer final they pretend to be balanced.

Not a bad final so far.

Is Djokovic doing a wimpy Murray? Every point he loses he is injured yet fine when he wins a point.

Surely the existence of Djokovic should stop all body language stereotypes in tennis, but they just keep coming.
