Not Terrible
Yeah poor post regarding Dwayne Smith.

The guy has a poor average yes, but played as an allrounder till he was dropped in 2007 for not being a very good one. From those 71 matches he averaged 14.92 with the bat and 37 with the ball (49 wickets).

Since he was recalled as a batsman in 2010 he has played 24 matches and averages 29.95 with a SR of 85 making him moderately useful to this West Indian side and superior to the likes of Deonarine.

The correct answer to worst specialist ODI batsman is Tushar Imran.

If you want someone from a "top 8" team then it's probably Mansoor Akhtar from Pakistan in the 80s.

If you want someone from the modern game? Then look no further than Luke Wright.

Congratulations to Luke Wright for managing to somehow play 50 matches for England.

If you think that rolling the arm over at all is beneficial to the team but still want a top 8 player from the modern game then just look at Crapuu or Poorera for Sri Lanka, who managed to average 22 odd in ODIs from 100+ innings and took only 2 wickets.

Long story short, Dwayne Smith has been better than Devon Smith as a specialist bat, so show a little respect for the best D Smith West Indies have.

Still think the best shot played in that 438 match was telemachus sweeping a mother****ing yorker from Bracken for 4.

What the **** did I miss??

AB now has serious GOAT ODI batsman claims IMO.

SA with the fastest to 5000 (Amla) and 7000 (AB) in their team.. if they can figure out their choking and bowling the WC is theirs to lose.

Let this game not fool us. RSA are not gonna win the WC with this squad.

A champion material team needs much more than two outstanding batsmen to win a WC. The bowling is average and if people have noticed, Proteas have done well until 35-40th over of an innings and have been sub-standard when it comes to the last 10 overs or so. This has been the trend over the last few months.

As a SL cricket fan, this is a sad day. The last record broken by Sanaboi in Singapore ~20 years ago gets broken today. Let's all have a moment of silence please.

SL still holds the highest team total so its been more of a mixed day for SL fans rather than a sad one.

Meh that chase was never going to happen, I'm a bit surprised we didn't go down swinging and get bowled down for 180 odd tbh. Liked what I saw of Carter today, he is not a lost cause, there is some real talent there. His footwork against the spinners is lightening quick. It was also nice to see Ramdin continue his great ODI form. Other than that though, this was a beating of epic proportions.

Today was all about AB and that is what it will be remembered as.

I don't know how SA can fail to win the world cup here. They have the two best ODI batsmen of all time, and I don't think that's a crazy claim to make.
