Please continue to pick fights with a poster in the community you're supposed to be a moderator of. Your posting towards me is pathetic.

Just checked Kohli's FC record - he's never made a double.. HS of 197.

Mental issue or endurance issue?

So you buggers feared Greg Matthews did you?
We feared everyone in that era - that was when we had Murphy S'ua and Richard De Groen as first choice pacers. We also have the same syndrome Australia has a lot of the time where we don't like to celebrate excellence in the other team unless it's grovelling and humble towards our own excellence.

Based on his batting since he got to a tonne, I think mental issue - he's still running quick singles, twos and threes as quick as ever without looking like he's breathing heavy, but he's started to play a lot more aerial shots since his tonne.

That sub fielder may as well start tampering with the ball or something. I mean what are they gonna do, suspend him?

Imagine the boys would get a laugh out of it if nothing else. Some hack coming up to Harris at mid-off: "Hey Rhino, want me to start picking the seam or anything?"

It's called being a sports fan. Are people surprised that people are barracking against the opposite team?

At least be grateful that we aren't shanking each other like football fans.

How about we make a rule in future that anyone who bitches about Aussie crowds and sledging begin their posts: "look I know I'm a massive hypocrite but..."

I don't have an issue with it, I think it's fine. I'm just pointing out most of the time Australia picks the best player in the opposition to do it, unless it's someone universally loved like Tendulkar. What I do have an issue with is booing a guy who just made a highly entertaining 100 but then that's a small section of the crowd doing it. Even our crowds in New Zealand applauded Steve Waugh centuries and Shane Warne five-fors.

Isn't that exactly what he said, albeit in different words?

It's all a bit of fun. I don't mind the wanker stuff at all. If there's booing, or whatever, no good.

lol.

you know something? i thought very, very hard about instantly infracting that post you made yesterday in this thread. i'd warned you the previous day -- perhaps mere hours before -- about constantly and repetitively pushing an agenda upon other posters in at best a passive-aggressive manner. given that it was a post about that ****ing tendulkar-sanga debate which had absolutely no relation to anything anyone was talking about at the time. i decided instead to wait it out, and good thing too as you managed to edit it to at least give the veneer of relevance despite it still being a breathtaking mischaracterisation of the debate that was actually taking place. even so, it was a very, very obvious example of picking fights -- aggressively targeting other posters it a completely unprovoked manner and was in reply to absolutely nothing in the debate that was actually taking place and had nothing to do with you.

so this is amusing, at best -- but only at best. aren't you always preaching the right to call other posters out on what you feel are bad posts? oh, does that only apply to you and your oh-so-perfect opinions on everything, which are so above cricitism that a stock-standard sarcastic reply is a grave offence? no one dare reply to the sacred blocky, lest thou be perceived to be picking a fight! i'd call it naked hypocrisy, except that... well, there is no reason not to call it naked hypocrisy.

let me make one thing clear, though. the mod team -- including dan, who you made a near identical accusation against yesterday -- have contributed an immense amount of time, effort and patience to making this community what it is. we do this because we like this ****ing place and want to see it improve; we rarely receive any thanks for the job we do and the criticism is generally unceasing. and that's fine, we don't ask for glowing praise, merely for some understanding of what can often be an unexpectedly time-consuming job.

if you feel so doubting of our integrity that you regard perfectly normal posting by us as posters (which we are, first and foremost) as grounds to attack our integrity then may i gently, gently, gently suggest that this is not the forum for you. unless of course that looks too much like picking fights.
