I'm sorry but what is the logic for picking Rahul again? Dhawan has at least given us starts and helped get a 40-50 run partnership with Vijay, Rahul was awful last match and I think it's harsh on Dhawan to be dropped.
If they selected him in the first place and see him as a long term prospect, then got to give him more than 1 match out of position.

Dhawan has been failing consistently except one innings in the middle order anyway.

you gotta give a batsman more than one go. i mean, based on what he's done so far he may not get that many more than one go, but you just can't tell after two innings how a batsman will be at test level.
I just don't think Dhawan has done enough to be dropped though, partnerships are crucial and the guy has at least provided us starts in the match, yes you'd like more from your opener but the worst thing for India would be to be like 10/1 and then just go on the defensive.

It's not me, it's Kohli!

I think we have seen what Dhawan is gonna do. Score a 20 odd and get out. He is basically a walking wicket, while Rahul is more of an unknown.

It's pretty clear Kohli likes to place his confidence, and responsibilities, in players who are a little down to get them to rise up and gain confidence.

It's a technique known to work.

Wow they dropped Pujara.. did not expect that. Too many changes imo.. I would've dropped last matche's debutant for Rohit and bring in Saha for Dhoni.. and Bhuvi in if he's fit. not sure about moving the debutat to the top and Raina.. the batting line-up looks such a mess. Wonder if this is Kohli's influence?
Not like the rest beyond Kohli, Vijay and Rahane were doing much anyway.

So that was Raina who looked like he'd been feasting on pies during his time in the dressing rooms yeah?
