Had no choice really - going to be 4 down with a defecit of 17 with your best player out and no reviews used? Might as well gamble.Great review.... /s
It's been over for a while. We just didn't know it. :-(Game over.

Agreed! I really enjoy watching him bowl. A very uncomplicated approach to bowling. He uses flight, drift and change of pace to defeat batsmen.Herath is amazing. Best orthodox spinner I have seen ever.
He needs to trust the horse that brought him here and look to be positive in my view. At the moment Prasad is dictating to the batsman and bowling better and better.Neesham I will never call you a downhill skier again if you come through. Let that be your incentive.
He gets himself in trouble a wee bit with the straighter ball at times, I think he'd actually premediated an off/cover drive and was moving into position for it, then saw the ball was on his pads and tried to readjust late. Look at the plane of his bat and where his feet were going.that ball that got McCullum didn't do anything. Wtf was he trying to do.
Funny - it was the same field settings in the first match (and first innings when we were scoring freely) that everyone was saying sucked from Matthews.McCullum could really learn from both SL's fly-slip (which we implemented far too late) and their in-out field in general. The amount of runs we could have saved with a fly-slip/3rd-man/deep point in hindsight. Haven't checked the wagonwheels, but seem to recall lots of boundaries in those areas. SL are smart enough not to give those free runs away.
Yeah, very under-rated fielding position these days, particularly on seaming wickets. Don't really agree about the deep point though.McCullum could really learn from both SL's fly-slip (which we implemented far too late) and their in-out field in general. Yes, McCullum's captaincy wasn't the best but then again he suck to what has worked for him since he got the job. What is important is McCullum learns from this and makes improvements.McCullum could really learn from both SL's fly-slip (which we implemented far too late) and their in-out field in general. I actually thought he was uncharacteristically bad in the field during that innings - dropped catches that he'd never drop, wasn't at his best in ground fielding and his captaincy for once didn't pay off and ultimately let the game drift a little bit too much expecting results from Southee, Boult and Bracewell.Yes, McCullum's captaincy wasn't the best but then again he suck to what has worked for him since he got the job. I think the main difference is that Sangakkara batted much better than anyone else. New Zealand have still bowled better than Sri Lanka IMO.. not as much as you'd expect given the personnel difference, but noticeably all the same. The main difference in my view has been that the Sri Lankan seamers have mostly attacked the stumps at a good to full length where as we bowled a bit too wide and tried for the miracle ball a bit too much. Have a look at Pradeep and Prasad's pitch map on Cricinfo versus what we bowled in the first innings.
