***Official**** Sri Lanka in New Zealand 2014/2015

I think Rutherford is better than guptil marks 1 2 and 3. Guptil would be terrified of getting out and score 15 off 60 balls and then get out. At least Hamish scores quick 20s. That said Hamish has cooked his goose with that dismissal you can't be that weak against bouncers and be a batsman.
By the way who the **** do Sri lanka think they are trying to bounce us out ( including baz) in our own back yard. They are not the West Indies of the 80s

Taylor is still the man I blame his new stupid stance for screwing him up for both dismissals in this test. I could right a detailed explanation as to why but it would take too long.

Neesham either comes through today or Corey comes back in,

Watling batted with the wrong tempo on the 1st dig and he needs to think about his approach.

My suggestion of Corey for Craig not looking so bad now.

Next I'll point you towards how misleading counting 2007 and 2015 is, and will point you to his record against all countries and how his away average is what hurts him, and in reply you'll probably shift the goal posts to suit your covertly racist agenda against "KFC Taylor" I believe you called him, tell us all about how you have more first class wickets than Mark Craig again (changing Bond's name to yours on ICC doesn't count David) and you'll then tell me all about how you've reported this post and I get another ban for calling a spade a spade.

That's what happens next.
KFC and a bottle of red is Ross Taylor down to a tee and it's freaking cool. Seriously.

If there were fashion points for that it would be a 10/10. Very Margiela.

And apparently talking about someone who averages 45 across their career having a **** year when he averages 36 - and also pointing out that all accounts have Taylor as a lazy trainer is "Racism"

if we can find a pic of him suited up with a bucket and a bottle we should put it on that forum of yours to gauge the reaction.

Good arvo chaps. Missed the entire first session, victim of having far too much family around at this time of year.

Anyway, how's the wicket playing?

Looks like the opening stand was looking promising, although reading the commentaries here, seems like they were incredibly lucky to last as long as they did.

Taylor really does appear to have a Pietersen-like weakness against left-arm spin doesn't he? Was it an unplayable delivery or just poorly played?

Really makes a mockery of those TAB odds that had NZ as slight favourites as of stumps last night.

Reaction 1 (Classic Men's Clothing sub forum):
"Is he wearing pyjamas? Why on earth is he not wearing morning dress? Get that man some tails and a monocle, ASAP!"

Reaction 2 (Current Events (the CEsspool)
"Murica is the greatest because we aren't taxed for his diabetes. Also, get off my trust fund, bitch"

Reaction 3 (Entertainment)
"Where's the ass pics? Knees too pointy, would not hit"

Reaction 4 (Streewear & Denim)
"Needs more baller sneakers. Needs more brand synergy. Cologne is not matching."

Reaction 5 (Health and Body)
"No naked sluts in this pic. He must be gay. Does he even lift?"

Wicket is playing fine, two lapses of concerntration and a simple batting error are our three wickets.

Taylor just continuing his form of the past year to be honest, looking disinterested, weird technique, plodding forward and playing early against a ball that really didn't do that much.

So lads!!..what the hell is Taylor trying to do with that new stance? almost looks like he's trying to be Chanderpaul  . I remember a year ago Kirk Edwards was trying the same face on stance after his shocking performance in England and needless to say it didn't last long.

Also should one assume that NZ's opening spots still remain an area of concern considering both Latham and Rutherford have failed in this series? obviously Rutherford's failure is no surprise when you look at his career thus far but Latham had a lot of hype around him after solid performances at the start of the WI tour (i did say at the time that he got found out towards the end of that series) and then in Asia where he got two tons. The question i have is were those performances just down to have flat. slow pitches? i really did expect him to feast on this lankan pacers at home tbh and if he hasn't cut it here then away in England may be very hard for the lad later this year.

Anyway SL clearly on top but they are gonna have to break this partnership fairly quickly to really cement their dominance in this game otherwise before they know it Baz starts going crazy and they are 200 behind in a flash.

I don't think Taylor looks distinterested. He is not in the best of form but has worked hard. He was unlucky to be run out in the 1st innings of the first test but otherwise batted well for his 30s. Again he was unfortunate to play on in the fashion he did.

I think the delivery from Herath was a beautiful ball. Nice loop and held its line more than Taylor expected. S..t happens.

Probably conserve energy, he doesn't like to sweat at all so slumping over his bat with an open stance and making one movement towards off stump with his leg no matter where the ball is pitched allows him to achieve his result of not really giving a ****.

Latham has been throwing away his starts of late, which wasn't his way against the Windies - he's probably too comfortable in the NZ setup but most of his dismissals since the Windies series have been particularly soft, I don't think he's been found out except to say if you keep floating the ball outside his off stump he'll eventually knick one.

2011-2013, if you wanted to book a lane in Seddon Park invariably you'd be frustrated at the amount of times "R Taylor" was on the sheet with throwdowns, bowling machine and bowlers.

2013-2015, if you wanted to book a lane in Seddon Park, feel free.

You're probably just trolling at this point, but I adopted a similar stance once for very similar reasons

Good post. I agree as I posted earlier his new stance is ****ed and unless he changes it he will not perform at his typical levels and eventually questions will be asked about him.
