Warner, Haddin, Johnson and Clarke are all a bunch of ***** in my view.
micheal clarke really doesn't deserve this **** specially after everything that he shown over the last month or so . I'd nominate the entire new zealand team instead him.

Johnson has been pretty decent in this series, by his standards.
Thought Johnson wasn't the lethal bowler I have seen him in the 18 months or so of his career when he was a beast. I hear he hasn't been the same last 6 months, not just series. In any case, the way he is bowling now, he wouldn't make Frith's book 'The Fast Men', for instance compared to totally making it a year or so back.

It would help if we could ****ing catch off him, though. Idk what his series figures are like but I'd wager they'd look a better once you account for seven drops in three Tests.

He's certainly off-colour - I'm still not convinced he's at full pace and he's pushing a lot of balls a lot wider than last year - but he's still capable of moments of sheer genius, as showed today.

phil hughes passing wouldn't have helped either.

I think it is a passing phase. I think he will get a bit more pacey. Yeah, if the catching was better, his figures would be better. I don't think he was poor by any standard. He was fine. Would make most test teams based on his performance in this series so far, even SA ahead of Morne Morkel.

We are going to win the fourth. Bhuvi to come back and destroy the Aussie top order. Saha to, importantly, NOT drop a catch. Harris to break down in the middle of the test. Kohli to be amazemaxx! :kicking:
Always love a bloke who cheers for injuries in opposition players. Stay classy.

Yeah I think he's been reminiscent of pre-2009-Ashes Johnson. Not the complete beast he has been for the last eighteen months in terms of either consistent pace or general threat, but someone who can bowl the occasional excellent spell throughout a match, not to mention pick up the odd random outside edge off a wide half volley when he's not. That Johnson was a good bowler, and the sort of bowler I was hoping he could get back to when he was brought back into the side. It's not 2013/14 season h4x but any side would take it anyway.

Oh yeah, but the expectation now is that Johnson will be the bowling equivalent of railway artillery, not merely "a very good bowler".

At a bare minimum I don't expect him to be dropping into the high 130s so regularly. A pitch with a bit of genuine pace in it would be to his taste too, I suspect.

He has bowled quite a bit throughout this year. Even considering the long lay-off.

I was thinking about this. I didn't want to say it as a comment that he wasn't looking like the usual Johnson met with as if I am trying to discount Indian batting. It would have had an impact. Johnson is some one who goes all out. He might have certainly reigned himself in, might even have happened subconsciously. I wouldn't say he didn't give his best - that would be questioning his commitment. He did bowl his fare share of bouncers too in the series. It is just that if a driver has had a terrible accident in a racing circuit, other drivers might become a bit more cautious, some how. Slight, even can make a difference in a competitive sport and fast bowling.

I'd forgive Michael Clarke everything and anything if he would promise never to enter the commentary box ever again.

The thing I don't get with Australia is why apart from Agar they haven't made any changes to the team for the fourth test.

The series is won - surely you can afford to experiment a little particularly in light of the fact that Australia's next two series are way from home.

I would rest Johnson personally - why risk him for a meaningless test when you have the World Cup around the corner and you know he's crucial to your chances ? I would give Starc a go or see if Siddle still has something to contribute.

Also, surely now's the best time to drop/rest Haddin and try a backup keeper ?
And Watto is doubtless the worst specialist batsman to have played for OZ in the last 25 years - Australia Imo are definitely better off dropping him for good and picking another young baseman for Sydney.
