***Official*** India in Australia 2014-5

My interpretation was that 2-0 down with two to play rather put the onus on the trailing side to force the pace.

If that's Dhoni's plan then it's worse than any pizza/commentary/pizza commentary.
Dhoni and India don't seem to have a plan. The way they are bowling they are hoping for Aus to either throw their wickets or to declare. They seem to have no desperation to win - anything goes. Their lack of a desire to win + their really **** strategies (which sometimes work, heaven knows why) explain their overseas record tbh.

Having Clarke on commentary seems odd. Has he been on the whole Test? Surely he can't exactly express himself properly for the Aussie players?

Good insight though I'm sure.

Certainly don't think the ECB would let Cook or whoever do it in the same situation.

In fact they had to be persuaded to allow Broad to do TMS in the 10-11 Ashes if am not mistaken,

The sum total of the insight we've been offered this morning is that Romeo's on Toorak Road is the best restaurant in Melbourne.

You always do what the opposition would least like, as Chappelli continually says. Australia should try and bat until India has no chance.

Yeah, doesnt do anything for us as spectators but there is no reason to declare. Prevent the win and make the Indian bowlers bowl more than they would want.

He had some good insights yesterday into Watson's technique. Only just started watching so dunno what he's been like today.

Australia has for years been incapable of playing out draws without significant weather intervention. They're playing sensibly here given the state of the series, yet all they are copping is grief from commentators. It's rubbish. Can anyone really see a captain in his second test in charge leaving the opportunity for an opposition you have 2-0 down to win the match and possibly level the series when they hold the trophy? He'd get filleted if he let that happen, and rightly so.
