***Official*** India in Australia 2014-5

I think Australia only hold a slight edge now. Two days left and if India can bat for the whole day tomorrow, Australia will find it difficult on the fifth day. But yeah, thats a big if.

Missed most of the play today.

Last 4 wickets putting on 250 hurt us bad it seems. Thankfully missed that another painful tailwag urgh.

But still after that last session there's a chance for India. Australia ahead now though but India still has a chance.

Basically a 2 day game now with Australia 26 runs and 1 wicket ahead but India have advantage of bowling last.

This is a throw away comment but Vijay is worth two wickets the way he is going atm. Australia will be well pleased to have him instead of Dhawan who is likely to self implode at any moment.

No flames please and don't take this comment literally.

There's no real advantage to bowling last at Bris, it barely changes character from late on day 1 onward. Game's tight, though. Cannot believe the scoring rate.

Haddin's average now almost at Healy-esque levels. He's still keeping well but whoa has his batting dropped right off and fast with some worrying methods of dismissal. He'll play the WC but even the next Ashes must be looking a stretch?

He also might decide to make this his one substantial innings on tour and pile on the runs. It's always good to get erratic batsmen like that out of the way in these final innings crapshoots.

Would imagine only scoreboard pressure would see an Aussie collapse on day 5. Can't see it so it should be an Aussie win or a battled draw.

Need Dhawan, Kohli, Rohit and Dhoni to take the attack to the opposition and Pujara to hold ground and keep scoring at his normal rate

Need to score 360 more tomorrow before declaring at stumps. Lyon, Starc and Johnson need to be taken to the cleaners.

Agressive batting, come on...

Indian batsmen impressive today. I loved how they handled the situation. Two more wicket down and that would have been the game. They battled it out there. Applied themselves. Watson is such a blunt bowler though. Indian batsmen probably rejoice when he comes on. Offers a time to feel a bit safer.

The bowlers were disappointing. Their lines were all over the place and it showed lack of discipline which is not very nice to look at at this level.

how did the extra "batsman" help?
play with 10 men then.

5 **** bowlers is no better than 4 **** bowlers.

it's nothing to do with depth and everything to do with quality.

and if your major concern is the bowlers flagging under the workload then they need to review their fitness as this isn't a problem so readily encountered or worried about by other teams.

does average a fair bit more tbf. also hits it clean, hit 50 in no time at all against SA once
IMO Johnson is the better bat but is also faaaar more vulnerable before he gets to 20. If I wanted someone to get 30 in support of the bloke at the other end I'd send in Starc, if I wanted someone who could potentially help the bloke at the other end swing things back your way (like today) I'd send in Johnson.
