How so? Clarke had done what needed to be done off field as captain before the tragedy. Clarke is at a crucial point in his career. This test may shorten his career further.
so be it. being there for the this particular test is way more important than hard cricketing logic.

Without drs why worry about padding up?
Just saying, sometimes I think people say DRS as a euphemism for increased use of technology, whether that be in a review system or just through recreational use. Obviously having a safety net might make umpires more aggressive, but I think umpires give LBWs more nowadays because hawkeye has shown they're out a lot more. In that respect DRS shouldn't have too much of an impact.
