yeah, but most fast bowlers start losing control when they get angry
Doesn't seem to be the case with Steyn.. just that Varun is not used to bowling angry. If he can bowl 150k when angry and just 140k when not.. shouldn't he go in hulk mode everytime?

This get angry stuff is stupid. Indian pace bowlers are bad bowlers... Being mellow makes them look even worse but that's hardly the reason they're rubbish.

He should...except that he will play no more than a handful of games every year.

It just feels like a bowler like Steyn has the attitude that Varun right now has at all times.. not saying Varun can just turn into Steyn but if he can learn to "control" his rage I'm sure he'll do better?

He should learn control first. Rage later. You and Wasim are saying the opposite. .

Well, Steyn is just one bowler?

Remember Dilhara Fernando getting angry? :p

Dhawan is going to get a good reception when he comes out to bat. Its good coz it might make or break his innings.

True Varun reminds me of Dilhara a bit. And yes he needs control first.. but he looks much more threatening now than before.. 2 4 balls + 2 wicket-taking balls an over.. better than 3-4 runs an over for nothing imo if you're supposed to be a strike bowler.

Not sure what the Debate is here.

Every fast bowler would be angry/frustrated in such a situation. And after the short ball flurry after it, he's reverted back to what he was doing decently.

Yeah but aimless quick bowling doesn't mean 2 wicket balls an over.

Sami would regularly bowl in the mid 140s. When he would crank it up he would take it into the 150s. But he was as brainless as they come bowling gun barrel straight and all over the place

He bats one way anyway.
I personally dont like the way he bats. Looks lazy like Sehwag at the crease but thats where the comparison ends. He doesn't score like Sehwag. Would love to see how he responds to the banter now. Am looking forward to see him bat eagerly probably for the first time.

That's not the debate :p

Its about Viriya watching Varun Aaron bowl 2 quick deliveries in an over (both of which went for 4) and getting all excited and linking it to wasim's comment about how fast bowlers should get angry at times to push themselves.

That 4 over spell by Aaron was arguably as threatening by a fast bowler that has been this match so far with the ball reversing.

Not sure what Sami has to do with anything. :p
