Series, not matches.Add the Trinidad loss tbf.
Yeah, upon reflection I think this is our best year. Credit to the McHesson clan.Even in 85 we finished 2-1 for series. 2-0 against top 8 with two away series in anti-NZ conditions is a great effort.
Well we didn't win this series.Series, not matches.
Which is why we finished 2-0 after playing 3 series.Well we didn't win this series.
Ah I get it, adding India at home.Which is why we finished 2-0 after playing 3 series.
yeah that's not happening. Mathews is the only SL batsman who'll get runs. It's going to be a thrashing. There's still time to botch this year a little against my lot
Careful, that's a day 2 Hagley wicket apparently -yeah that's not happening. Mathews is the only SL batsman who'll get runs. It's going to be a thrashing.
*sorry, allow me a bit of braggadocio after this win.*
So NZ only gain 1 point on the rankings for an away test win & series draw against an opponent above them?

Yeah, this is ridiculous. Drawing a series in the UAE is no mean achievement, and especially when they do it in so much style and so convincingly. So NZ only gain 1 point on the rankings for an away test win & series draw against an opponent above them?

haha, yeah. That was my reaction too.Daymn did not realise India was that far down.
It's very difficult to say where any team should be ranked. Everyone except South Africa is awful in conditions traditionally alien to their players. I don't see how India can be ranked conclusively behind Pakistan at all. South Africa are number 1, Australia number 2, but after that you could put England, Pakistan, India, New Zealand in virtually any order.Funniest thing is India ought to be 7 under NZ, I still can't work out where Pakistan and England belong
