**Official** Pakistan v New Zealand in the UAE 2014

The easiest point to ask yourself is if you think Wagner would bowl any worse than Sodhi or Craig has. And the answer to that if you have any objectivity is "No, Wagner would bowl much better"
I've wanted Wagner in for Craig since the start. You stated Wagner would not bowl full tosses. That is blatantly not true. The merits of Wagner vs Craig vs Sodhi were not brought up.

I would take you seriously had you mentioned that Blocky was pushing his Sodhi sucks agenda at the same time as semi-praising Sodhi.
Please tell me how taking two wickets for 92 is amazing bowling - you do realise that's an average of 46 per wicket right? i.e still better than he usually bowls but still terrible by test standard for a specialist bowler. I'm being a realist, you're being a "Ooh, Sodhi didn't completely suck this time, lets rejoice"

I've praised Sodhi, I've pointed out Craig is ****, but you guys still want to contend that somehow Sodhi has proven we should continue to select him for NZ. So far, his very best performances in an NZ shirt still show he's not capable of performing well enough to deserve that honour.

And NcCullum would average less than 46 against the Pakistanis on these decks?

Yeah, noted matchwinner NcCullum would come straight in and start tearing through a team full of right handers bowling off-cutters

NcCullum performs better at first class level than either of these guys, has success at ODI level to fall back on and would at least do the job in allowing us to rest our bowlers without going for excessive runs. That's the one thing Sodhi has done to great effect for most of this innings, not leak runs... but as we've seen once the opposition got in a position to attack, he was back to his old tricks and going for runs.

Nathan McCullum is a myth. He bowls a lot of full tosses and half trackers in ODI's (albeit some of the latter deliberately), his stock ball is completely non threatening, meaning he would be milked for 3-4 an over.

One of the reasons Sodhi didn't go for runs is his stock ball was causing the batsmen to treat him with respect.

Yet he averages ten less in domestic with the ball than Sodhi and offers more with the bat. And as well as Sodhi bowled, don't you think it's telling that the moment the pressure lifted from the batsman at the crease that he started going for runs again? It's much easier to bowl at batsmen at 38/2 chasing 400.

Personally I'd rather go for Astle or even Ajaz Patel before NcCullum. I don't even know if Nathan would be more successful than his bro

No one actually thinks Sodhi is any good. I'm a jeets man, and failing that Astle. Before this partnership sprung up, we looked like bowling Pak out for just over 300, with Sodhi playing a vital part of that performance.
