It will be by open bidding by posting on here. I don't need to be online at the right time. Just an example:The thing I dont get yet is how are people going to bid? Is it by posting on here (and timing your post so you"re online at the right time) or is it silent?
I would make it 2 players a round, cuts time in half..
My post at 1 AM
1. Bishan Bedi,
2. Alan Border
3. Denis Lillee
Kk bids at 7:30 AM 0.55 mn for Bedi, you outbid him at 2:15 PM with a bid of 0.9 mn, sk bids at 3:30 PM 0.91 mn, you outbid him at 7:15 PM with a bid of 1 mn.
Sk starts the bidding for Border at 8 PM with a bid of 0.6 mn...and so on...
I come online at 11 PM to declare that sk wins Bedi for 0.91 mn (because your outbid was after 18 hours), and the game goes on...[Border's bidding will end at 1PM the next day]
If everyone keeps track of their local time, it shouldn't be a problem.
I personally think that having 2 players at the same time will complicate things quite a bit for people who are very new to this (I tried this once, and some people were pathetic. When I tried the test auction later with players 1-by-1 things went very smoothly). I think I'll rather bring down the round time to 15 hours per player. What do other people think? If there are many here who are comfortable with 2 players at the same time then I can go with that.
