was it ever on tv? would be good to watch
Was pre World Series so any coverage was the old ABC, a camera at one end only job. I've not seen much of it but I watched it as a kid and remember no one could believe how quick he and the whole WI scored that test.

Robelinda would be the bloke to ask. I can't say I've seen it even on his YouTube channel, though he started recording cricket a few years later iirc.

Salamuddin

International Debutant
Watson took 11 wickets at 10.6 in 2 tests last time we played pakistan. He gets a lot of reverse. Overall is ~18 average.

On how much Harris matters

Since clarke became captain (2011) Australia has won 12 lost 4 drawn 3 with Harris. Without him they have won 7 lost 9 drawn 4. They take ~5 runs more without him to get a wicket.

Away it is even worse
With
5w 4L 2D
Without
1w 6L 3d

Same 5 run gap.

2nd Test: South Africa v Australia at Johannesburg, Nov 17-21, 2011 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo is the one match
Harris is highly unlikely to have made any difference to the 4-0 pasting the Aussies copped in India or indeed the current series. The problem is Australia's batting line up just doesn't have the quality it used to - the fact that Australia have relied on substandard players like Watson, Ed Cowan or average guys like Doolan , Rogers, Shaun Marsh and Haddin attests to this. Even Mitchell Marsh imo is only a reasonable rather than a stand out talent. Australia will always be strong in pace friendly conditions but when their pace advantage is nullified they will be vulnerable.

Blocky

Banned
Harris is also 36, with injuries all over his body and a knee that no longer has cartilidge in it. If Australia need him to win, they won't be winning many more years.

Which team is the worst: Wallabies, Kangaroos or Baggy Greens?
The Wallabies, easily. They're **** all the time, home and away, full strength or injury hit. Lowest (barely) mainstream national team Australia puts on the park.

Pratters

Cricket, Lovely Cricket
Lyon is more of a stock bowler rather than a wicket taker. In an attack, you want a combination of stock and strike bowlers. It is easy to see Lyon as terrible right now on this pitch which is terribly slow. However, it shouldn't be forgotten that Australia has had some terrible spinners since Warne retired.

You need some bowler who can bowl without leaking runs and letting away the pressure when you want to give one of the faster bowlers a bit of a rest. Lyon does that job well, particularly in Australia. This Indian line up isn't as strong as it used to be against spin (cue Moeen Ali). I would keep Lyon in the side at home, tbh.
