Not Terrible
Moral victory

Bloke at work called SA collapsing to 270 all out after Amla got out. Not too bad a call

Firecracker start here... 6 off the first 3 overs - Guptill actually striking at 36.36! Going at a great pace compared to normal.

I've said it before and I'll continue to say it again and again, Guptill has absolutely no clue where the ball is going off his bat - it's why he's terrible at turning over the strike.

Someone (Laura) needs to reinforce that Guptill is much better off pretending he's playing T20 and just going at the bowling from at least the second over than he is attempting to build a Nathan Astle style innings. He's just not capable of that.

Even South Africa know that keeping Guptill at the crease means they have a better chance at winning.
 If only I had a dollar for each Blocky anti-Guptill post. I'd probably have nearly $1,500 by now. I've got to admire your persistance at the very least!

South Africa attempting to keep Gup at the crease with dropped catches and attempted no-balls...

WASP should now show a higher winning percentage with Gup being gone for his usual strike rate of 35.

Astle did go at the bowling from the get-go though, it was just that he changed down gears if he was still in (on 40 or so at a run a ball) around the 15 over mark and accumulated to push towards a hundred. Guptill could take that approach.

Not today though.

He really is an easy target, I'd be concerned with other players if I was giving them such constant **** that they'd turn around in an innings and make me look foolish - but by Gup's standards, this innings was actually a great, he almost got to a strike rate of 40.
