So the fielder isn't allowed to take a significant move before the ball reaches the batsman? What a stupid law that is. As long as he moves after the bowler releases it, it should be fine. If the batsman is allowed to play premeditate his shots, why not allow fielders to counter that and make the batsman look stupid?

It's illegal, but it's hard to make a case for the switch hit being allowed and that not being allowed.
