Of course. Yorkshire beating England would be funny. And any reason for the Queen to slap Cameron before she conks off is good for me.

Of course France is a separate country, not sure why Yorkshire is allowed in the County Championship. Normandy should be their local derby.

Not sure the Yorkshire hierarchy wants to play with those that aren't Anglo Saxon tbh

Seriously though would enjoy them not being in the Championship again (2012 was a good year) but as long as they let Bresnan and one of Root and Ballance go somewhere else first.

Wouldn't be the first 3rd World Nation with passing resemblance to British Culture to gain Test Status.

An opening bowler and a #6 short of being a useful Test unit, IMO. Lyth/Lees can pass as an opening combination, Root/Ballance/Williamson are more than Test-class in the middle order, Bresnan-Sidebottom-Plunkett isn't too bad either.

Oh and Bairstow sucks at Tests, but let's ignore that fact for the sake of the exercise; he should be good enough.

Could you find a spot for Sachin?

Didn't Yorkshire for a long time keep an 'only those born within the county' policy? Sorta goes with their inbred nature really...

Yup, Sachin was their first overseas player and their first non-French player of the modern era.

What used to irritate me was that despite that xenophobic policy they still won the Championship about 30 times, and would probably have done so another dozen times if they hadn't had half their first team in the England side all summer
