***Official*** India in England 2014

That crack off the bat from the final ball was amazing.

LOL at India's death bowling though. This is why everyone moaning about England scoring too slowly at the start of ODI's annoys me. If we'd laid a good platform in any of the first three ODI's we really could've cashed in.
But your whole tactics were relying on it coming off for you to win. Putting all your eggs in one basket, you shouldn't have to choose between one and the other.

Watching the attempted yorkers get completely destroyed makes you really gutted that Beefy will never see this.

Christ this is appalling death bowling. Absolute ****. 180 a good total though, good striking from Boppa.

Yeah, England used the crease superbly there. Boppa + Morgan so deep starting position it made it hard for bowlers not to bowl a full toss when searching for the yorker.

If you've got 4/5 guys who can score quickly at the end you're likely to come off more than not. It just sort of annoys me when England lost half their side by the 25th over and you get people like Vaughan saying they're clearly happy to just post 260 for six. It's not what's happening at all.

Counter point to that, if you are losing wickets early playing the conservative game why not change it up and have a go?

Exactly, you are handing the initiative to another side; and making the middle overs harder for yourself because there are more fielders inside the circle and you have to take more risks between 15-30.

You dominate the game early, you control the tempo, you can let Morgan/Buttler go at their own pace.

Is Morgan/Buttler's own pace not to just smash the ball all over the place at the death? You can't have everyone try to go big. You need to find the balance.

Aren';t most teams now playing more the english style anyway. Somewhat conservatively playing the first 35 keeping wickets in hand knowing that with the powerplay and only men allowed outside the ring in general you can score an obscene amount in the last 15 with wickets in hand.
