Get the people what they want. I like the idea of 3 sets in the first week of majors as it would lead to more upsets, less fatigue/burnout and the opportunity to schedule more matches on the bigger courts & less of a problem for scheduling with rain (Wimbledon) or heat (Aus) issues. Increasing to 5 sets in the second week would signify the business end of the tournament so it would be a real achievement for someone to play in their first 5 set match.

This Bouchard match is great, hard not to like Eugenie..

he is a terrific talent but too inconsistent right now, he is on his way out of the open losing to robredo…another point against him (for me) is that he grunts...

I would actually like all matches to be best-of-three until the last 16, and then them all to switch to best-of-five for both ***es. Won't happen though.
i hope not..that's one the biggest distinguishing factors between the regular events and the slams. you are not from the new ADD generation so why would you want that tradition to be broken?

Kyrgios needs to sort out his fitness a bit. Obviously still young and not hardened, but that's two Slam losses where cramping affected him.

He was so dominant early too! :(

Just bored by big-server tie-break stuff for hours and hours.

Hey, as I say won't happen, but it would certainly help congestion in the first week of slams, particularly Wimbledon.

Tradition is all well and good, but hey let's face it tie-breaks were brought in relatively recently, thank gawd, or we could have Isner-Anderson playing for three days.

She's fallen out with Lovely™ Laura, and I'm very much #TeamRobson. Also the fedcup handshake thing was bratty in the extreme, oh and Bieber......

got a little ****y when he was ripping serves and winners past robredo early in that 2nd set…came down to earth pretty quickly and then tommy gave him a few lessons...

For all the talk of poor form in the men's draw there weren't exactly a lot of upsets were there? Ferrer the only one I can think of who went out out of the top 9.
