Yeah, was a good match surprisingly.

Leeds and Qpr going down in amusing fashion too, which is fun.

I don't know how I feel about this really, on one hand great story, OTOH he's practically come out to tackle him, as a defender should I suppose.

Bayern apparently want Xabi Alonso and are prepared to offer him €200k a week.

Makes perfect sense when they sold Kroos this summer.

King Pietersen

International Captain
Woy's announced his squad. Rooney gets the captaincy, as expected, Townsend somehow gets a call-up, and Hodgson referred to Colback as "The Ginger Pirlo". English football is on its arse.

Goalkeepers: Fraser Forster (Southampton), Ben Foster (West Bromwich Albion), Joe Hart (Manchester City)

Defenders: Leighton Baines (Everton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Calum Chambers (Arsenal), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Phil Jones (Manchester United), Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur), John Stones (Everton)

Midfielders: Jack Colback (Newcastle United), Fabian Delph (Aston Villa), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), James Milner (Manchester City), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal) Raheem Sterling (Liverpool), Andros Townsend (Tottenham Hotspur), Jack Wilshere (Arsenal)

Forwards: Rickie Lambert (Liverpool), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool), Danny Welbeck (Manchester United)

Grime and Pym from the Mighty Grecians been called up to the under 20 England squad, young lion thingy, quite bizarrely.

We maybe heading for the Conference, but that's really quite amazing, only a couple of other guys in it out of the top division.

Found this quiz question for a free Jonathan Wilson book on his facebook page. Anyone have any ideas?

What comes next in the following sequence: Preston, Preston, Sunderland, Aston Villa, Aston Villa, Aston Villa …

Something to do with early league winners you'd think, but I don't know what.

Arsenal?

First team to win the league once, twice, thrice etc etc etc.

I'll destroy **** if we don't beat Anderlecht at home tbh. Not a brilliant group but I'll take it. We had the same last year but the equivalent of Roma this time was there. Tough for City. Thought it would've been easier now they're pot two.

Don't see how this deal suits either team tbh.

Will enjoy Real trying to play Kroos as DM against Liverpool though.

International Debutant
With the ball he's pretty much perfect for it. But his positioning isn't great and he doesn't really have the legs to cover for that either. Against most teams it's fine but when you come up against the likes of Silva & Nasri recently or against James, Ronaldo & Bale then it often gets really badly exposed.
