Becomes a T20 match at that point - against Ajmal and Rehman who are pretty good at restricting/taking wickets.Just gotta get one more before tea, probably 2, I reckon we could chase 80-90 runs per hour at the end of the day.
or if Perera had bothered to gather the ball and break the stumps...Pakistan
If that had been a direct hit...
Not convinced there's anything in the pitch at all. Rather than Sanga scoring an awesome double on a tough wicket, it's just amazing Herath bowling and lol batting from Pakistan.Herath pulling a Murali... making Sanga's knock look even better with how he's getting the ball to skid.
The pitch is fine as long as you're confident in getting forward to the spinners and not being beaten by the flight - the drift that Ajmal is getting and the movement Herath is getting with his arm ball are just as deadly weapons as fast turn in my view, because beating a batsman in the flight of a delivery will always result in wickets over time. Both of them have also got the odd ball to really spit off the surface too.Not convinced there's anything in the pitch at all. Oh yeah definitely. Pakistan have just played into Herath's hands completely. Batting in the third inningswwith a small deficit should not be a blockathon. Herath and Ajmal have both bowled well. The difference is that Sanga and the others played Ajmal beautifully(although flat as he does usually) and Pakistan have just been awful. So, yes, saying that Sanga's batting has been the difference is true.
