Going to be tight on my budget, tbh. 1.15mil per starting slot.
Decent team this. Love the #3 and middle/lower batting order, batting all the way to #10. Hard team to bowl out quickly. Think Cowie and Johnson would compliment each other nicely as a pace attack.

Problem is the last 2 spots -- all goes to **** if I end up with Imrul Kayes opening the batting and Habibul Bashar at 5 :p

EDIT: This round's strategy could potentially ruin me, but all I have to say is #YOLO (as Monk has received in multiple emails now).

Sanga and Woolley standout stars there.

Let me guess, you've bid big for Kallis too? No chance my measly bid is going to secure the big gun IMO.

In the ATG stakes your keeper Dick Lilley is on a par with Woolley and perhaps even Sangakkara. That has to be an added bonus.

Improving pretty rapidly. Even people like Fletcher and Ritchie were at least decent Test players.

I did put a few dollars on Kallis, yes.

I don't get how Lilley is at the same level of Sangers, Watson.

Lilley was one of the greatest keepers of his era. Sangers is one of the greatest batsman of his era. In terms of greatness in their respective disciplines they are roughly equal.

The great wicket-keepers

The greatest of them all? This can only be a matter of opinion; many England cricketers, from Arthur Gilligan to Colin Cowdrey give their votes for Oldfield; Blackham, Lilley, Strudwick, Ames, Evans, Tallon, Grout, cannot be far behind: Strudwick himself placed Evans, Oldfield, Cameron and Lilley as equal top.
The world's best wicket-keeper today is probably the restless, muscle-flexing Alan Knott. In the 1970-71 series in Australia, says Alan Smith, Warwickshire captain and England Test selector, Knott achieved a personal pinnacle possibly never exceeded by any other wicket-keeper. His own team mates on their victorious return spoke in awe of some of his far flung catches, and above all of the general effect upon the side of his verve and vigour as the focal point in the field. The opinions of his colleagues were fully supported by seasoned judges in the other camp. There are many who believe that given a greater consistency he will ultimately rival Oldfield.

Wisden - The great wicket-keepers

The strength of the top 5 isn't going to mean anything if i can't get my hands on a couple of quicks.
