***Official*** New Zealand in the West Indies 2014

Ramdin's captaincy has been as poor as his keeping. Shillingford shouldn't have opened the bowling and when he did , should have been taken off much earlier. Holder is bolwing better than Taylor, yet Taylor gets a spell first. I don't get it.

Big Daddy Kane's form in test cricket has been impressive recently:

Last 16 innings: 114, 74, 62, 45, 58, 56, 113, 3, 47, 7, 113, 2, 42, 52, 43, 90*

Just because you played 5 bowlers doesn't mean you have to bowl all 5. Shillingford is hurting the Windies bad. Stop bowling him.

It's hilarious that Shillingford has bowled more overs than Holder.

Great session. Jimmeh played well but it was a shame he got out so softly. Not quite a no.6 batsman yet.

Ideally, these two will bat until the new ball and through it's initial stages, say to about over 100. Then Southee et al can have a swing.

Kane having 7 tons already in his career is so impressive. 6 months ago Taylor was sitting on 8.

Not sure what more you want from a number 6 either DoG. Neesham has been one of our most valuable players with the bat alone on this tour. He's having an excellent game.

Yeah, I was being a little harsh. Came in during perhaps the make or break moment in the game and batted so calmly and authoritatively. But, like you say often, we gotta set higher standards. He was well set, the bowling was at his mercy, so he could have/should have kicked on to a bigger score and really taken the game away from the West Indies.

And well done to Kane. Just been so consistent in the last 6 months. Now I want him to go into Big Daddy mode.

Haha did anyone else catch that Tanzanian runner bloke on Sky Sports Extra just now?

"They did not know what Tanzania was they thought I was from Tasmania which is a small island off the south of New Zealand"

Cricket on the laptop. World Cup on the TV. So good.

Another talking point is that we are lucky to be playing against a West Indies side that isn't being captained so well. Why Ramdin didn't start with Roach and Holder this morning for such a crucial session is beyond me.
