Decent bit of insight as a very recent former player, I find him pretty good now that I'm used to his voiceAnyone here rate Andrew Strauss as a commentator? He just sounds odd. Can't take him seriously

Much better than his first few Tests where he sort of yelled with the mic all but inside his mouth from how it sounded.Anyone here rate Andrew Strauss as a commentator? He just sounds odd. Can't take him seriously
Boycott's been ripping into them on TMS, and quite right too. The conditions are massively in their favour, but they're wasting them. Was going to comment that Broad must be a bit asleep to be bowling so many short pitched balls but now Anderson's doing it too...
Someone needs to have a word. Back of a length, back of a length, back of a length...
Pitch it up!
SL will be quietly fancying their chances here. The openers in no trouble, with the two best batsmen in the match to come, and Matthews & Chandimal in decent nick. A lead in excess of 200 is by no means out of the question, and they know as well as anyone that England won't find that easy on a 4th innings pitch.Pretty pleased we managed to get through that, also glad England persisted with the wrong length for a while. After the break we have to try and get the scoreboard ticking a bit quicker, with the potential for wickets to fall in clumps and our tail being crap we need to get England under pressure and seeing that lead disappear and then getting that target set. Really have to try and control this game from now

England are making a good case for having the world's worst slip cordon: Alastair Cook has only caught 65% of chances in his Test career.
