Bugger. Really don't feel like going back to work after that. Good effort with nothing to show.

Ah that is a real shame.

Hard to know what the **** to think of the Dutch now but I think it is fairly safe to assume that all their matches are going to be a decent watch.

They'd want to defend a tad better than today. A quality finisher or two and they could have had five put past them

Hmm, pity that. But I think the best team won. Another game that was great fun once again, and one with garbage goalies, seems to be a recurring trend.

Can see Germany winning this as every other team looks to be rubbish in certain areas

How did the neutral watchers of that game rate it? Thought it was a terrific game, but you know, bias and all.

Really wish we hadn't pissed away much of the past two years giving charity caps to the aging golden generation and had blooded these young blokes 15-20 matches ago.

Ange really seems to be a top coach

Laid the foundations at the Roar and has transformed this team in 7 matches

Yep, especially at the back where you could tell that the back 4 and GK hadn't played all that much together.

Cheers Sledger. Poor midfield from Argentina answers the question as to where they are rubbish. Saying a team weren't great or performed well against a minnow doesn't.

As if the heartbreaking loss isn't enough, we now have Craig Foster's microphone working for a post game "analysis". I feel sorry for the great Les Murray having to sit next to him.

Best thing you can really say is that even though the squad is seriously lacking in experience and has hardly anyone at big clubs, some of our best players injured etc, you'd still imagine they'd have made it out of the group stage if they got the group that any of the other Asian teams got, or at least gone very close. Fairly impressive.

Asian Cup next year will be interesting.
