Craig's just got to look at the wickets column and forget about the econ in this situation........any spinner is going to cop it in this situation, hopefully he gets the last man and picks up his 5fer. No one will care that he went for 6.5 rpoBit sad that Craig's having some of the polish taken off his figures. Should really have gotten the quicks on a couple of overs ago, but oh well.
Making the pitches worse would be an odd decision. It's been said many times, that dustbowls ironically nullify Narine by making every spinner a demon.Well done NZ.
Wonder how the Windies will react to this:
a) Bring back Narine?
b) Make pitches more difficult?
If this is their attitude, they're never going to be a good side. Courtney Walsh, Ian Bishop and Jeffrey Dujon were saying that they didn't think that was the positive option. Hopefully they prefer to take the more long term option.b) Make pitches more difficult?
Didn't Beamer say that the pitch for the second test was most likely to favour New Zealand? If that proves to be the case then you'd have to say WI are in big trouble. If this is their attitude, they're never going to be a good side. Absolutely phenomenal, his 62 catches takes him to 5th of all time NZ keeper dismissals in only 16 tests behind the stumps, I can only remember one dropped catch in that time – off Alistair cook on day 4 at eden park which was a low one hander. How good was Watling? 89, 22* & 8 catches
