Good game for the neutrals, might keep a closer eye on the Asia Cup after that game! Better than the dross game between WI and Eng at the moment!

so nice to see Afghanistan beat Bangladesh yesterday- not that i have anything against Ban but its just fairytale cricket isnt it?Both opening Afghan bowlers had some decent pace about them, Hassan i think, had an average speed of 138K's at one point !! very handy

The MCC should just get with it and rule that boundary ropes should be no more than a metre within the advertising boards. The game got on pretty fine for 100+ years before the boundary loving advertisers got the cricket boards to go along with the excuse that fielders need to be protected from their lack of awareness of their surroundings.
yeah.

It just wasn't good cricket at the end there.

Pakistan deserved to win (because really, they shouldn't have chucked away those wickets at the end), but gee I hate seeing hits like that win a match.

Bhogle is just a good anchor. The commentary box in * for this series is otherwise just a cliche ridden drag with people like Lal and Gavaskar Jr.

I'm not saying it's unfair that Pakistan won, far from it. They deserved it. Just stating that's why I harte ODIs at the moment. It's a lottery at the death, way too often. The risk vs rewards of slogging with your eyes closed is too heavily in favour of the slogged. 65m boundaries ffs. All 3 of Afridi's sixes at the end were nowhere close to being good hits
It's lottery for you because you have ****ty bowlers.

Was impressed by Kohli's captaincy this game. That and Mishra were good points for India.

Small boundaries are very lame, Afridi would've been out for both of those shots in the 90s, but same for either side etc etc
Yep the only reason we even made it to the last over is because of Mishra's bowling and Kohli's attacking captaincy (oh and Pakistani choke etc.).

Deadset 4-5 of the flogs in this ODI team aren't good enough. Its pathetic. Almost half a team.

Hah yeah this is 100% accurate.

Stop blaming any other factor, death bowling is of course harder than ever before but its still an even playing field. Tell me when is the last time India won an ODI? If its a lottery they'd eventually win one you'd think. And we often lose because of our death bowlers.

Well it will just mean that every win of SA, NZ and India and Pakistan recently don't count.

Come on, Jono, you're usually better than this. Never did I try to point to those mis-hits as an excuse for India's bowling. I even said that I would've been annoyed even if one of our sloggers had won the game for us with top edges. It's a lottery for blind sloggers at the death, that is what I meant. Sangakkara's hundred the other day was a great knock and I made no such comments that day. All I was saying was that ODIs reward sloggers too much, both from our team as well as others

There is no way you can blame the bowlers for the 2 losses, India should have scored at least 20-30 runs in each of the two matches against SL and PAK, also dropped catches and missed stumping don't help either, fact is that India should never have been in a position where the last few overs decide the match. I honestly thought Dinesh Karthik had the goods to bat in the middle order after mid-last year and his 2 centuries in the CT warm up matches but man he's crap, and seems to be a lame keeper too. They really should just let Jadeja bat up the order, he deserves the opportunity given he's a regular in the team and will be needed over the next year as compared to some of the other players.

Geez how much are we gonna miss Dhoni the player in limited overs once he retires?

No I'm not, I'm always a self-hating Indian fan when we lose to Pakistan.
