Only needs another 55 runs to be scored now (he said we wouldn't get within 200)this pretty much completes the taste
Would be amazing if Siddle scored a decent amount of themOnly needs another 55 runs to be scored now (he said we wouldn't get within 200)
Don't think anybody rates his batting too highly. Most people think he is pretty ordinary. Even his ashes performances seemed like a fluke. Took way too many gambles and strangely they all seemed to pay off.I've always liked Haddin but I can't help but feel he's a bit over-rated in Australia because he always does so much better during the home summer when most fans are paying more attention. The fact that he's done well in the Ashes specially probably contributes to this too. He's the perfect #7 in conditions he's used to in that he can rebuild with the tail after a collapse or really accelerate when he comes in behind a big top order effort and he should (and lately, has) get a lot of credit for that. His wicket keeping, bar a rough period for a little while just before he got dropped for Wade, has always been good too. I don't think his average is lower than people expect "because he gives it away when the going is easy" as if often suggested; it's low because he fails away from home. I don't think averaging about 1000 at Adelaide Oval and 26 abroad can be defined as "making only the tough runs", as much as he obviously has done that in the last two home Ashes series.
I rag on Dhoni a lot for being so completely useless in most conditions, and Haddin's just as bad if not worse when he leaves home. I'm beginning to think I might be being a bit unfair on Dhoni because his technical weakness is just so much more obvious and ugly. There's no obvious reason for Haddin to be so crap abroad as opposed to Dhoni's shovel shot. Definitely not saying he should be dropped or anything like that, but it's worth bringing up in the grand scheme of where he's rated. Thoughts?
you really need to get yourself an avatar or else i'm just gonna think you're daemonWhoever predicted "within 200 of the target" is looking good too.
Nah they definitely weren't flukes. He didn't exactly look like getting out during any of those innings, after all.Don't think anybody rates his batting too highly. Yeah, that's true I suppose. I definitely think that's turned around now though.i mean, brad haddin wasn't exactly rated highly by australians before this summer. if anything, I used to find it funny that a man who had performed so well in ashes' series was disliked by so many of the 'punters'
