I just don't see what these guys are offering that means we can't invest a good run of ODIs into Trent Boult. The talk is that it means we're a bit samey in terms of bowlers at the top order, all relying on swing - but Mills, Bennett, McCleneghan all pretty much rely on swing too.

I kind of like Boult as a test specialist. Means he remains more of mystery to opposition batsmen rather than letting him get caned in batter-friendly conditions.

Edit: Besides, it's not like we're lacking for options at the moment with Southee, Mills, Milne, McClenaghan, Anderson & Bennett in the mix. Say what you like about McClenaghan spraying it around at times, but you can't dispute his ability to strike. A rare asset in ODI's.
