This will be interesting, with word from the dressing room we'll either see these two carry on as they have been or Guptill starting to try force some aggression into his game. It's clear he isn't as naturally a fluid player as Ryder, Williamson or Taylor but most international cricketers aren't.

If the leadership thinks he needs to up his run rate he'll definitely look to attempt it with his big shots.

I just can't believe he continues being selected. We'd be better off with Rutherford getting 15 off 12 than this. Our depth in the batting order is huge and yet we're killing half our innings watching Guptill be incapable of working spinners around and getting stuck in holes. Every single that Williamson gets, he knows Guptill will take three balls to get him the strike back.
