Rogers has done well, and I'm happy for him. As soon as he was selected I was cheering for him of course.

However lets not distort what the discussion was about prior to his selection. Going into this innings Rogers was averaging what, about 40 over the two series?

Hughes and other opening batsmen in the squad at the time (including David Warner who was missing for the first few matches) would have contributed just as much over the stretch of ten matches in my judgment.

There's nothing to indicate that they would not have been more successful in the role.
Other than Hughes' consistent failures of course

There's a bloke here punching so far above his weight she must be a high class renter.

And in the atm queue ahead of me, too. I might hang about here a while
Hitting up the Captain Cook or the Bat & Ball Hotel at the close of play?

Lol, Kind of strange that the biggest troll/worst sportsmen to ever grace the cricket field seems to be such a nice genuine chap off it.

Welcome back. Watch much of the series when we've been five down?
Makes no sense whatsoever

Anyway, you rubbished Rogers before both series and have been proven 100% incorrect

To claim that Hughes would somehow have morphed into a decent player and replicated his success is drivel of the highest order

Bit surprised not to see Stokes in at the new man here. Rankin not looked at all threatening for me.

Hughes at 6 would have been better than George. Granted theres a fairly big list of people who would.
