***Official*** India in South Africa 2013/14

Riggins

International Captain
Yeah and playing out the first over of the innings as a maiden is just part of the Kallis show. Do South Africa even want to win?

Every single away tour we hear how India's batting looks good but they need to strengthen the bowling. Probably will hear this until the end of time.

State Vice-Captain
top 3 run scorers are all Indian bats, which just shows how badly our tail/lower order with the exception of Rahane batted.
Always been top heavy. It doesn't look like that will change. I was very impressed though, South African batting order is nothing to sniff at.

That's bollocks, the rule change doesn't mean you have to run out the way of the ball. It says you can't change direction to block it.

Had he turned straight back and blocked the throw he would have been absolutely fine.

Any more tours between now and visiting England? NZ, apparently.

What changes might we be looking at between now and then - I assume the top six will be reasonably similar, then MSD, Ashwin/Jadeja plus Shami. Are Ishant / Zak likely to be in danger? If so, who might be in? Bhuvneswar?

There is no point bringing Ishant, bloke is absolute garbage. Zak worth it for experience and swing, Shami I think will do a pretty good job as well.

Yep I think that's it.

Can't see the top 7 changing by the start of the England tour, but Gambhir should make his way back when Dhawan fails in England.

Zaheer will play in England I imagine as I don't think he'll have a poor NZ tour. That leaves one of Bhuv or Yadav in for Ishant. Always hard to predict how the Indian selectors will handle Ishant though. He could very well line up in the first test vs. England and it wouldn't surprise me.

Ashwin vs. Jadeja is a tough one really, I can see Ashwin have taking wickets on this pitch so its unfair to compare their output, but wickets are wickets. You imagine if Jadeja had hung around even for a 20-30 he'd have locked himself in. Idiot.
