Great session by South Africa. India just not looking penetrating enough, and when they did it didn't go their way.

Torturous session. Why did this need to happen? I love test cricket and all but why can't we have an easy win here? We can have the nail biter in the next test when we're 1-0 up.

Have seen no pressure built at all by the Indian bowlers. Some top drawer batting but this is pretty poor for a fairly decent attack. Seemed like they were basically just waiting for the wickets to come to them rather than trying to actually build pressure on the Yarps.
I think what Spark mentioned earlier was spot on. For a while they were just looking for the magic ball which inevitably ended up with a few pies that they cashed in on. Shami bowled well and was threatening, but even he was guilty of this. Ishant was toothless and Zaheer was just really wayward. No idea why he didn't come over the wicket.

Go on...

I remember the Aus chase when it was supposed to be difficult with side-ways movement and up-and-down bounce but there was good value for shots if you survived the difficult periods in that test.

Here we go! The best thing that can happen in cricket! An proper Test Match day 5 evening session, withh all possible results still a realistic option.

The best part is that I'm gonna watch it all.

The feeble bowling aside, this is some damn good batting if you take into account the big target and the uneasy pitch to deal with.

Fair play to SA, great stuff from them. No DRS in this series but that umpire's rule crap must go, give the benefit of doubt to the technology not to the whims and fancies of the umpire. Still think India are a shot here, 1 wicket and you'll be up against a guy who generally does bugger all in these situations and then the tail which includes a blind slogger in Tahir and another bloke who can barely move in Morkel. Don't think SA will push for the win if a wicket goes, I'd still say a draw or an Indian win are more likely.

Have only been following this match on and off for the last few days.

Has it been the case of India being dire since the Pujara-Kohli partnership ceased yesterday or has the South Africa rearguard been that awesome?

The fact is India doesn't have a spearhead who can make those crucial breakthroughs which get the ball rolling. Zak is bowling OK but nothing more. The pitch is also doing less than expected. The odd ball rears up but there is no consistent lateral movement.

I think SA will definitely go for the win. India's best hope is that they lose an early wicket or two and close shop. I don't think they have enough time to win but at least they get the draw.

127 in 30 overs. Marginally over 4 an over. I don't see how that's not comfortably in SA's favor. Especially with the bowler's tiring and AB still there and we'll set.

Thus looks bad from our point d view. Need to get AB quickly after tea
