**Official** Zimbabwean Domestic Season 2013/14

I know you're taking the piss, but AWTA. Playing India at home is literally the only profitable cricket Zimbabwe play; everything else actually runs at a loss. So vital for them.
Would hosting an India A / development team ( including players like Sehwag, Ghambir etc) be profitable. Surely some Indian networks would pay to televise, obviously not as much as if playing against the National team but something is better than nothing. I would guess the games would be fairly competitive.

Rocks v Rhinos Pro50 game is going ahead today; I know this because they've had a toss already. I'm not sure who's actually playing or if anyone got paid beforehand, but there's a match.

I think they've called off the Eagles v Mountaineers game though as it's disappeared off the Zimbabwe live scores drop down on cricinfo.

The Mountaineers have in fact forfeited to the Eagles. Literally couldn't find eleven blokes willing to play.

Taylor, Waller, Chinouya, Rainsford, Sibanda - which I make as everyone owed international match payments from ZC in the squad - seem to have withdrawn from the Rhinos team for today. British passport holder Peter Moor also out.

A handful of blokes I've never heard of and some of the Zimbabwe Under 17 squad seem to have been tacked on the end of both squad for the game.. along with Riki Wessels.

The Southern Rocks have lined up pretty much as per program but all the current and former Zimbabwe reps, foreign passport holders and unofficial players union members have pulled out of the Rhinos side. Match is a complete farce. Wessels didn't end up playing either.

Mid West Rhinos team
RM Chokununga*, R Madziva, DA Mavhiko, P Mhondoro, R Deka, G Banda, W Nzira, T Chingwara, T Potsekai, B Njanji†, T Chitongo

Rhinos superstar wicketkeeper B Njanji took 4 wickets and at the moment has top scored. Extras are killing the Southern Rocks.

Oh man, last week I was going to make a joke about grabbing a flight over and trying to get a game for one of the sides, but figured it was a bit of a stretch even with no players and no payment since I'm literally the most amateur of park players.

After 29* on Saturday and the Mountaineers not getting an XI, that joke doesn't seem so unreasonable.

So the Rhinos Scabs XI get rolled for 55 with Kamungozi taking 6/13.

More amusing were perhaps the figures of Garwe who managed 5-0-14-2 despite bowling eight wides; he was presumably just too good/quick for them despite bowling a terrible spell.

A few players in that lineup I noticed were playing their second List A game - their first coming back in 2008 when pretty much this exact thing happened. Scabs indeed.
