You have to say it looks like the game has passed Allardyce by. No one performs above their means by playing a long ball game anymore.
I don't think they'll get relegated but they shouldn't be half as bad as they are. Mid-table should be about par for them given their support, and given their history they shouldn't be playing such unwatchable ****e.

Totally agree, just said the basics but used him as he is the biggest known name so far linked.

He won't play anyway. He's playing at 10 for Everton and England seem to fancy Rooney there.

Agree, should go as part of the squad though and could be good coming off the bench late on.

I don't see why he should be confined to the bench to be honest. From what we've seen of him this season, there's every reason to suspect he'd do a better job than some of the other options available. Let him have a go. It's either that or go for tried and tested players who we all know won't set the world alight.
