Don't think Root will enjoy this deck tbh. Nothing against his temperament, but his technique doesn't look particularly suited to Perth.

Though in the 2nd innings at Brisbane he was almost a lone hand standing up to it. I think Root is the only member of the top order coming out with an enhanced reputation so far. Carbs has done ok but much like Rogers last summer you can't see him playing many more than 20 tests in a career due to age.
