PS all you ****s need to shut up about sammy's pace. IDGAF about what the gun says, you drop a guy if he's not taking wickets not because of the pace he's bowling at. Have I accidentally logged onto PakPassion or something?
Well, in this case he's playing as a third seamer. He's not getting any wickets, going at 4 runs per over and bowling at 119kph? Either way it's unacceptable and we can't continue to hamstring ourselves like this.

well this is definitely looking well above-mediocre. Disappointing amount of thrown-away starts though, but that's never going to change it seems
You need to do the 'what would this score look like with three quick wickets' NZ check :p. I may just be a grumbly NZ fan but I would be surprised if there were fewer than 2 more wickets before stumps.

Why did the Windies decide to field? Are the conditions poor or have there been a lot of missed chances/ plays and misses? It just looks like a completely ****house decision.

Were suckered by a coat of grass on the wicket. To be fair to Sammy, his bowlers have generally been awful.

50 up for Mac. Excellent stuff.

Suckered in by a grassy wicket that really wasn't that green. They bowled poor areas so Fulton and Rutherford had a great time and then as soon as the sun came out...

No-one is going to take wickets bowling gun barrel straight 115km/hr deliveries though.
The main problem is his lack of movement then. Sammy's had plenty of success around the 120-125 mark so pace isn't much of a contribution to his wicket taking potential.

Currently Best is hovering around 130kph, so it's possible this gun is about 10ks below on average. I agree Sammy is bowling non-threatening rubbish atm but I using the speed gun as justification is stupid imo because they're often pretty arbitrary.

Yeah; the "New Zealand green seamer" myth.

To be fair to Sammy I don't think it's exactly going to get harder to bat on this wicket, but even so.. on a flat, consistent wicket your biggest weapon is scoreboard pressure. It was always going to be a bad call IMO.

A kiwi speed gun harsh on the bowlers? Nope, I don't believe you.:p

Bracewell is a much better bowler than Faulkner.
Can't think of a single way in which this is true, tbh. I guess Bracewell's best right now > Faulkner's best right now, but by every other metric I think Faulkner is far better (ceilings and all that, as well as consistency). Though in fairness I don't rate Bracewell at all, and do rate Faulkner somewhat.

Neither should be anywhere near a Test team.

Sammy doesn't want o be captain anymore so he looked at the flat pitch, few clouds about and some green areas and then at his bowling attack being even weaker than usual and said, "come on lads, we've got this"
