I'm really glad they ended up calling the team Cricket Australia Invitational XI; I would've been dirty if Aaron Finch ever turned up for a New South Wales team.

Good start for Broad and Bairstow.

Suggest Finch treats first-class matches like T20s - might work better...

Over 2.1: Broad to Finch, no run, OUT, beaten for pace here and a thin edge well held

Don't ever change Aaron

I'm guessing Finch, while still failing, lasted longer than a ball then?

Proof enough that dermo abbott and the NSW side > England.

Such a farce that Finch was seriously mentioned as an option for the Test team off the back of an average to poor ODI career. Such a prank Cricketer, I would rather about 40 batsman than him.

He is the absolute typical example of a pup11 cricketer.

Guess it doesn't hurt to look at him in a game like this, should be the end of any chance for him now. Decent option in shorter versions though.

His ODI spot seriously needs to be under threat now though. He's now had 17 games against serious opposition (ie. not Scotland) and despite getting to bat at the top of the order in all of them and 6 of them actually coming in the most batting-friendly series in the history of ODI cricket against a poor new ball attack, he still only averages 22. He's just seriously dining out on that one T20 knock against England.. and probably that ODI knock against Scotland too for some reason, as if David Dawson's runs in Sydney grade cricket didn't count for as much as that.

His ODI career has actually been even worse than his First Class career thus far IMO which is what makes the fact that he was seemingly in the Test frame "on the back of ODI success despite poor Shield returns" just absurd.
