Looks like Finn's bowling himself out of contention.

Tell me more about this Turner ****. Thought he was a bowler, no?

Was definitely more of a batsman a few years ago. He took up off spin to give himself a second string but his bowling has really impressed a lot of people, myself included, and it's what got him a gig in the Under 19 World Cup. He probably still regards himself primarily as a batsman and he played the Champions League just recently as a specialist batsman, but it's his bowling he should be focussing on IMO.

as it did in 2010-11 when the 100 year floods, snow and oscillation events produced almost a second winter. Cool, swing friendly with a lot of rain around. Slower decks, lower bounce.
So did I dream the 3 days in Adelaide last time sitting in 40 degree heat watching the Aussie bowl gun barrel straight??

Interviewed on 5 Live, Agnew's just said the same about Tremlett. Let's hope that Rankin bowled rather better than his figures suggest.

Shame there wasn't an opening bowler in the first division taking wickets all season at under 20 a time.

All adds up to Bresnan being rushed back.

WA should have batted on to 700. Understand they were bored playing that bowling, but it would have been hilarious to keep the filth in the field for two and a half days.

You mean the one who hasn't looked the same at the highest level since serious injury but can still do enough to get out lower players on helpful wickets?

No said taking wickets all season at under 20, not at 40.

Onions has taken hatfuls of wickets everywhere. A good bowler is a good bowler wherever they play. Absolute farce they've gone for the giants when they've not been in the same league. England and their bizarre policy that you can only have one bowler remotely like Anderson in the side, but you can have as many scattergun lanky bastards as you like.

No need to worry. One of Rankin or Tremlett are bound to break down. Onions will get the callup and play the last four test taking 20 wickets whilst not bowling at more than 80mph as England win 3-2 on Australia's green seamers.
