Really enjoyed it personally. Great write up, very thorough and quite illuminating.
i thought he over-stated just how much marsh was preferred over usman or hughes at times (in particular for the latter) but other than that he nailed it

proposing that the pretty poor dropping of usman after south africa has caused him to not be able to play cricket at any level anymore is a stretch i think. also ignoring that nobody has been scoring consistent runs domestically for a few years and that therefore there really isnt anyone who definitely should have been preferred over marsh including those two is a failing in the piece imo. considering the absence of alternatives picking a guy who looks good, has occasional brilliance and was groomed to play for australia from birth isn't really a surprising thing.

also i found the mention of marcus north in the vicinity of the blues test players a bit curdling.

also i think if you can find a way for marsh to debut each game he could be good. test debut, big bash debut, newcastle debut, ipl debut all success stories

Victoria following Ponting's comments that the best batsman should bat at 3.

Looking forward to the final tomorrow, hopefully the good guys win.

Well I won't be reading that article
Nah I like it from a Test side perspective. He's going to score Shield runs at six regardless IMO and it won't prove much in regards to how his game is progressing but if he scores runs at three it'll be a whole other thing. The fact that it'll weaken Victoria's side is also a bonus.
