Would Stuart Broad make India's strongest test XI?

Even with Broad;s improved figures I don't think he would get into the India side now with Yadav and P Kumar looking very effective.

42 Tests 130 wickets at 35.97 econ 3.38 s/r 63.8 Sharma
41 Tests 132 wickets at 32.00 econ 3.04 s/r 62.9 Broad
27 Tests 87 wickets at 37.59 econ 3.62 /sr 62.2 - Sreesanth
6 Tests 27 wickets at 25.81 econ 2.59 s/r 59.6 - Kumar
3 Tests 16 wickets at 22.93 econ 3.80 s/r 36.1 - Yadav

I think once Sharma has his ankle operation he should be fine.
This is a horrible post.

Enough with this engineer love. It is time to acknowledge that Dhoni makes the first cut of any ATG Indian XI. 200+ victims, solid late order batting (primarily in Asia) and clear headed captaincy all combine to make him as obvious a selection as gavaskar, dravid, kapil and tendulkar.

and yeah. broad, as much as i abhor him, will make it ahead of srinath and zaheer.

Still one of the ATG posts.
Well, that post was over 2 years ago and he has improved leaps and bounds since then while about the other 2 less said the better. :p

And as to the initial thread question, as if Broad makes it ahead of Sir Jadeja.

Honestly, is there any test team in the world apart from Bangladesh and Zimbabwe that India wouldn't want to take a seamer from?

I get that India have had their problems but in fairness, aren't Yadav and Bhuveneshwar worth preserving with for a little while? I think calling them desperate to pick anyone is a little harsh.

Yeah I like both of them quite a bit but they'll need three quicks in their side for South Africa which means Ishant will get a game and he's not fit to mark out Kyle Jarvis's run-up.
