The other way to go would be to just let teams have one substitute, and he can come on whenever, but you're only allowed one, no matter what.

(Also, lol)

International Regular
Run the first one hard, look for the second...... Escapes Michael Clarke.....

If this goes on, England might not only have a decent chance to draw, but even to win. Wouldn't have thought that an hour ago.

Ahhhhh, rain!

Looking at the rain projections, it's looking pretty ominous for the next hour or so, but appears to clear by the evening. Wouldn't surprise me if we got no more play today though.

State Vice-Captain
Declare now. Chasing just under 300 will not be easy, but will be a target that's gettable. Best possible situation if you wanted to go for a win.

That gives us maybe 1.5 hours tonight then? Declaration must come, need England at least 3 down tonight, including Cook

Looks like it'll clear by 5, so reckon play could resume at half 5, so reckon you'll get an hour tonight, plus whatever we get in after tea in between rain breaks. Half an hour of T20 batting, and half an hour bowling at England.

Yeah, thought that was a poor session for Australia. I know it's not the same, but if you had a 30 over ODI innings you'd want to be getting more than 137. They had the bank of runs already on the board as well.
